MEET OUR STAFF
 Our co-pastors, the Reverends
Beth and David Long-Higgins,
were called in 1996. Both are graduates of Heidelberg College with degrees
in psychology and music. They did their seminary training and received their
Master of Divinity degrees from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities
in Minnesota. Prior to their call to David's UCC, they served as co-pastors
of Bethany United Church of Christ in Louisville, Kentucky for 8 1/2 years.
Beth and Dave have two children.
Debbie Petty has served David's UCC as the church
secretary since 1985. In the past, she has ministered to us as Chancel Choir
Director, as well as Children's Choir Director. Debbie and her husband, Steve,
are the parents of two grown children. They have been members of David's since
January, 1998 and both serve as integral parts of our music programs.
When you call our church, that friendly voice on the other end of the phone
is likely to be Debbie's.
Our Extended Care,
or Latchkey program, is directed by
Lisa Lanning. Lisa has served in this capacity since September, 1998,
and has been a child care professional for 21 years. From working with infants
at Gymboree to working with middle school students in area public schools, Lisa
has "had every possible job" within the child care realm. Lisa obtained her
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University. She and her
husband, Doug, have been members of David's UCC since February, 1999 and are
the parents of two children.
